You would have to open up the computer so that you can comfortably access your motherboard. Then on the motherboard you would look for an over-sized watch battery, and somewhere close will be a computer chip that may look something like the one in this image: img.tomshardware.com/ us/ 2006/ 02/ 27/ in_search_of_true_ddr2_bleeding_edge_memory/ msi_cmos.jpg In the image, the over-sized watch battery is the thing in the top-right and the CMOS is the thing labeled "Winbond ". Carefully take that bad boy out of its comfortable little socket and once you cut it in half then you can look "into " it. Good Luck

It depends on your computer. It is usually either F1, F2, DEL, ESC, or F10 during boot.
