I have recently been searching for a 1 TB external hardrive for my mac computer because my internal hardrive is running out of space. I know that a lot of hardware for macs must be bought from Apple but I wanted to stay away from that because everything they sell is pretty expensive. So I was wodering, say I buy a Western Digital external hardrive, will it work with my mac?

I am very familer with windows and linux, and a friend wants me to help set up his computer. The guy knows nothing about computers in general. To do this, I know I'd need knowledge of Mac OS and setting up a mac's internet connection. I mean if it'd be about keyboard shortcuts, then there are equally as much on a Windows PC people just dont use em. If it is about QuickSilver... I don't get the comfort of that program. And there lately came out a Windows version of it, too. Anyone who can explain this to me and has a good beginners tutorial?

How to make system CD to install on Macintosh computer?
I have four installation files for Mac OS X Installation Disc 1.dmg, Installation Disc 2.dmg etc. I want to convert these .dmg files into one installation DVD disc so I can format my macintosh computer. I do not have a macintosh DVD burner but I have a DVD burner on a normal windows PC computer. Please explain step by step process and what programs I need to burn CD.

Why wont microsoft word work on my Macintosh computer?

The mac we have is the only computer that has access to our printer, so we can't do the project on any other computer. So, my problem is that I can't start up my Mac. I switch it on, the Apple sign comes, and then the little turning wheel appears that always comes up before the User page comes, where you can log in. I have the source code to a program my friend wrote and I compiled it for Windows, now I would like to compile it for Macs using Code Blocks or some other open source software.
